Music for the Funeral Rite

Music is integral to the funeral rite.  It allows the community to express convictions and feelings that words alone may fail to convey.  It has the power to console and uplift the mourners and to strengthen the unity of the assembly in faith and love.  Great care should be taken in choosing music for the various parts of the funeral rite.  The Director of Music can aid you in your music selections.  Following is a list of choices to aid you in your preparation.
